"San Francisco" (1998) by Andreas Gursky.

One of my favorite photographers and one of my favorite hotels, the Park Hyatt off the Embarcadero in SF.

A random smattering of tunes:

Rick Ross- Hustlin'
Fleetwood Mac- The Chain (just fast forward to 3:04. epic, brah.)
Yume Bitsu- Song one
Slicker- Knock me down girl

And now, how to be a minimal hipster. Sherburne make the tea!

it's funny you post this photo as i have just been thinking about this sapce myself. john portman designed it in the late eighties...there is a low wall around the fountain in the atrium...i have been trying to figure out how they got the surface finish on the concrete. pocked-marked, like air-bubbles, but much crisper and more intentioned. wanting to use that finish myself but wondering how to spec it. tangents. and yes, gursky. mmmm.
